It’s been a busy week. In addition to my “real job,” I am also working on a couple of websites.
One is for Rachael, a friend of mine and founder of Thistle Rose Academy of Arts.ย I met her back in 2014 when my sister urged me to join a special choir that Rachael was putting together. It was to sing the Faure Requiem for a Good Friday mass.
Sure…
Who is Faure?
What’s a requiem?
Ten years later, she runs an organization that makes the arts education accessible to all. I’m the webmaster.
It’s usually not difficult work, but I really hate Wix and suggested they migrate to WordPress. IMHO, its more flexible, and less expensive. So that’s what I’ve been working on. I have a few more things to tweak, but I should be able to map the domain to the new site this week.
I also volunteered to help Friends of Mayburt State Park with their site. Hubs and I hike there a lot, and well… as you can see, they haven’t done any major updates to their site since 2013. They already run WP. They think they “might” need to migrate it to a new template ๐.
You might, rabbit… you might.
Oh, and for the position I interviewed for… No dice. It’s all good. The gal they picked is great, and I know she will do a good job. There are always new opportunities. You just have to keep your eyes open.
Have a great week, and if you are in the US, happy Thanksgiving!
