Sunday Selfie ~ December 22, 2024

This week was a little easier than last. We managed to pay off our cruise bill in one shot. That was a huge relief because it was a big bill. Turns out, an Australian/New Zealand cruise plus airfare from the states is kinda pricey. Who knew? 😜

We’ll be cruising with my sister, her hubs, and my cousin Mike and his wife. I don’t have much family left, so I’m really looking forward to it. It’ll also be the first time crossing the equator and the international date line. It’s pretty weird that it’ll take us two days to get from Detroit to Sydney,  but half a day to get from Auckland back to Detroit. It’s still a couple of months away, so I’m trying not to think about it too much.

I ran AV today at church. Today is a fun service because they do the “paper bag pagent.” When you walk in, you’re handed a paper bag. Each bag contains a simple costume, so you can play a part in the play. It’s pretty silly, but the unrehearsed rawness makes it funny and unique every year.

There’s nothing much else going on today. Hubs has been tending to the woodburning stove most of the weekend.  The heat that thing puts out is amazing.  It makes the house very cozy. It’s the one thing I can always look forward to in the winter.

Oh, I almost forgot… Happy Solstice! They days get longer again.

Yay!
