I’m back

Greetings folks!

It’s been a very long time since my last post. Life has been busy, but I felt the urge again to dive into the pool.

I figured I would start with one of my favorite challenges – #TankaTuesday. This week’s challenge is to pick a moment in your day and describe literally or abstractly how I feel about it, and how it affects me.

This form of poetry is tricube. It’s a three-line, three-stanza poem where each line contains exactly three syllables.

So here it goes…

A spring evening in Michigan

Soft breeze blows
At once warm
now to cool

Distant owl
hoots to mate
Fly with me!

The sun dips
velvet skies
settle in
