Frankly, I wish I had normal powers

Sometimes, mastery of my own life eludes me. I don’t need to fly, or shoot laser beams out of my eyes. I’d just like to do my taxes without developing an ulcer. I’d like to learn a song on my bass without doubting every note and feeling like a hack. Maybe just a good hair day once in a while?

I guess if I really think about it… I wish I could see far enough into the future so I could give the snappy comebacks I think of hours after the conversation. It would keep me from ruminating on the situation months later.
