For Kevin’s No Theme Thursday: 09.05.24

She must have seen me coming
as me ship came to a rest.
Weary from me days at sea
she saw her next conquest.
Looking all seductive
she whispered in me ear
and told me all the things
a pirate wants to hear.
You’re a manly man, and I can’t resist
let’s drink some rum and dance.
Then she put her arms around me
and reached into my pants.
Before I knew what she was up to
me wallet’s out of site.
But alas that maiden was so fair
I didn’t put up a fight.
The next time that I saw her
looking better than before.
Smelling like a flower
she promised me much more.
She romanced me with whiskey
I romanced her with song.
The morning came
in a sudden wake
and I found me wallet gone.
Third time that I saw her
I fell again for her charms.
While devious and beguiling
I could not see the harm.
I’d keep me eye upon her hands
so that my wallet did not stray.
It was no use, all rum-induced
me wallet got away.
The forth time that I saw her
I knew just what to do.
I used me pirate cunning
so she wouldn’t have a clue.
I went down to the wallet store
and spent my remaining loot.
Now I have a whole lot of wallets
to keep her in pursuit.
