The shadow man
Hot concrete on the cool night wind
City hustles
Sleek cars muscle
through the streets of sin
Watch from the dark
spot his mark
twitching his finger on the trigger
Carbon and steel
Making a deal
It’s just a job, but bigger
Circumstance
the morbid dance
there’s no justice in its season
vengeance is told
no matter what’s been sold
He’s the target for a reason.

A crack in the night
then out of sight
No one’s gonna weep.
This is the last installment of Kevin’s No Theme Thursday for a while, maybe a long while. I’ve really enjoyed his posts and literary challenges. More than that, his encouragement has spurred me on to continue my fledgling blog and expand my horizons. For that, I am in his debt. Wish Kevin well and check out his blog. There’s a lot to explore.
