I had to force myself to write anything today. The last couple of weeks have been tough – and no, it’s not about any recent current events.
I’m just struggling.
It may be because I just started using estradiol cream. I’ve been past menopause for ten years. I didn’t give hormone replacement therapy much thought because I heard so many bad things about it – blood clots, cancer, stroke… No thanks.
But, I’ve been having some other issues, and my doc recommended I start using it. She says the cream doesn’t have the same side effects. So now, after ten years, my body is being reintroduced to estrogen. It can take several months for the benefits to show up, but it looks like it takes almost no time for this teen angst, moody bs to rear its ugly head.
That all being said, I just finished walking the dog with the hubs. It’s late evening. The darkening blue sky peeps out between the ragged, fast-moving clouds of autumn. It’s still fairly mild for November in Michigan. Even a few of the heartiest crickets still sing. The fresh air makes me feel better.
So note to self… get outside once in a while.
