Tankas for the seasons

Spring

Warmth breaking free from

The icy bonds of winter

Cherry blossom wind

Carries the soft melody

Whispering birds home for spring

Summer

Golden orb that shines

Buzzing life in frenzied heat

The palm shade mocking

Hot concrete water mirage

Hope beckons a soft night wind

Autumn

Sweep the threshing floor

Trees burning beneath gray skies

The harvest has come

Cornucopia of life

Stores warmth for the coming frost

Winter

Skating the water

Of icy veins flowing deep

Frozen sun burns cold

Bright tranquility settles

Within the dark sleeping earth

      Thanks! Originally, I just did the bird one, and when it ended up being all springy, I thought, hmmm… 🤔 let me take a look at those other images again. 😉

    Love this! 😎❤️ Funny how we all look at Kevin’s pix and see different possibilities… I read your comment above and you picked exactly the right ones, what a great concept!

    The poetry was very well-written… the one for summer was spot-on…I grew up in S. FL and with just a few lines, you captured exactly how it is there from Dec 15-Jan 15, lol 👏
