Everybody wants to change the world

What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

LOL! This is a funny question.

I can guarantee that my blog will not change the world in any way. That has never been its intent, and I suffer no delusions.

I started this blog, first to see what it takes to operate a blog. I help some of my friends with their website, and was asked about blogs one day. I started this up to see what it would take.

I keep working this blog because it’s fun, and it gets the words out of my head. I don’t write for hopes of snagging more subscribers.  I don’t gear my posts towards SEO and hot keywords. I don’t bust my balls to post something every day (or even once a week) and rarely look at my stats.

I write for myself.

If you peruse my posts, you’ll see a random assortment of things I’ve been exploring – poems, short stories, these silly prompts, random thoughts, bits about my life. You’ll see long pauses where life gets busy. I jump back in when I can. I don’t explain myself or apologize.

Every once in a while, I’ll try to maintain some kind of consistency,  but my brain doesn’t work that way. I like doing poetry, but sometimes I just like to ponder life and write about things I’ve been doing. Sometimes,  I like to participate in challenges because it helps me to think differently and go in directions I don’t normally go. Writing whatever I feel like makes me happy. My blog has no rules.

Will this blog change the world?

No.

Will it change me?

Yes, and that’s all that really matters.
